What is UCM?

United Campus Ministry at Frostburg State University

...is a place to laugh, question, learn, build, and care.

...a ministry to the whole person, mind, heart, and spirit.

"We are a people of faith engaged in an inward journey of spiritual reflection and growth and an outward journey of compassion to our community and world. Our ministry is to the whole person--mind, heart, and spirit. We invite you to participate with us."

United Campus Ministry (UCM) was established in 1968 and has been active on the campus of Frostburg State University and in the local community since that time.  UCM is an ecumenical religious organization striving for qualities of integrity, intelligence, grace, and above all, faithfulness to God's abundant love for all people.

A Board of Directors for UCM is composed of students, faculty, administrators, local clergy and community persons.  Meetings are held during the year to assess needs, plan goals, and evaluate directions.

The UCM student group consists of various mainline denominations such as United Methodists, Presbyterians, Episcopalians, Lutherans, as well as others.  This ecumenical environment provides for a better understanding of God's love for all people and fosters a healthy open-mindedness about our faith.
