SCV LogoStudent Center for Volunteerism (SCV) was founded in Fall 2003 by Nadine McDonald, Megan Lahman, and Kyle Hines who are students at Frostburg State University. They wanted to create a place for students to plan and execute volunteer events on the FSU campus and the surrounding community.

SCV has now grown tremendously over the past year and currently provides many service learning and volunteer opportunities including but not limited to Day of Caring and Sharing, Oxfam Hunger Banquet, Alternative Break: Jacksonville, FL - Habitat for Humanity, Alternative Break: Tennessee - Cumberland Trail, Relay for Life, Alternative Break: New Orleans, LA, and Glories Happy Hats - Homecoming Weekend Service Project.

The Student Center for Volunteerism web site was designed by Courtney Coleman and Corey Ryan. The template for the SCV web site was designed by Joseph Ruiz.
